The Black Shop
The Black Shop is a culturally affirming basic needs pantry housed within the AARCC, open to all students.
Designed with the African, Black, and Caribbean (ABC) community in mind, The Black Shop offers a curated selection of personal care products that reflect the unique needs and traditions of the African Diaspora. Stocked with essentials such as textured hair care products, skin care items, protective styling tools, and more, The Black Shop ensures that students have access to culturally relevant resources that support their well-being and sense of belonging.

Office for ABC Student Success
The Office for African, Black, Caribbean (ABC) Student Success advocates for the holistic success of ABC students at UC Santa Cruz. Through assessment and cross campus collaboration, the office advances strategic priorities focused on equity, belonging, retention, and graduation outcomes for ABC students.

Financial Aid

SlugCents is UCSC’s Financial Wellness Program, offering guidance to help you feel more confident about money—now and in the future. Their team provides a safe, welcoming space to talk about money, ask questions, and build practical skills.

Learning Support Services
Learning Support Services (LSS) provides inclusive, peer-led tutoring sessions for UCSC undergraduates. Whether you want to catch up, keep up, or get ahead, LSS tutors and coaches help you build community while building confidence. All peer tutors and coaches are certified through national and international programs.

STARRS (Services for Transfer, Re-Entry and Resilient Scholars)
STARRS supports transfer and re-entry students at UCSC through events, peer community, counseling, and scholarships.
