Academic Societies and Organizations

The AARCC proudly assists students in enriching their academic experience by becoming involved in societies and organizations that are specific to and promote their fields of interest. In addition to preparing students for academic excellence, these societies and organizations serve as opportunities for UCSC students to collaborate with other brilliant young African American students and emerge as leaders in their community.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

NSBE, with more than 29,900 members, is one of the largest student-governed organizations in the country. Founded in 1975, NSBE now includes more than 394 College, Pre-College, and Technical Professional/Alumni chapters in the United States and abroad.
