B.L.A.C.K. (Beauty Love And Care for the Kulture) is an effort to create a space where ABC (African, Black, Caribbean) identified students can come and find products and services catered to their specific needs unavailable in Santa Cruz and surrounding areas with the following goals:
  • Make wellness and beauty products for ABC students accessible and affordable.
  • Have products that cater to and represent diverse hair types.
  • To have ABC students reclaim the beauty and wellness practices that co-opted the main media. 
  • The ability of ABC students to see themselves reflected in UCSC’s beauty practices and aesthetics. 
  • Provide DIY workshops and resources for ABC students
